Benjamin Safi is a Professional geologist with 20 years’ experience working in gold, industrial minerals and base metals exploration. Mr. Safi has been in Senior Management roles up to a Chief Geologist for Twigg Gold Ltd. He has a good knowledge and skills in geophysical, geochemical and geological exploration techniques. He was involved in the initial discovery and subsequent resource drilling of the 520,000Moz Miyabi gold deposit and was a principle geologist during the discovery of Twigg’s Dutwa Nickel laterite deposit; with the responsibility of implementing and supervising all resource drilling (36,000m) of the 110 million tonne deposit. His geophysical work was instrumental to the discovery of Hanang Gold Project owned by Tanga Resources Limited.
He has been involved in gold and base metals exploration in the Lake Victoria Goldfields, Lupa Goldfield and Proterozoic Ubendian Belt of Tanzania.
He holds a BSc (Hon) in geology from University of Dar es Salaam and a MSc. focused in Exploration Geology from Rhodes University in South Africa and is a member of Society of Economic Geologists (SEG).
